1. What is a Private Bank?

The term “Private Bank” means a bank specialized in “Private Banking.” Today, many commercial banks are offering such services as they call “Private Banking” but such banks are not considered “Private Banks” if their main business is retail banking, commercial banking, investment banking or merchant banking, etc. Originally the Private Banks were operated under the form of partnership having unlimited liabilities, but today many of them are incorporated.
